Core Warrior is a weekly newsletter promoting the game of corewar. Emphasis
is placed on the most active hills--currently the '94 draft hill and the
beginner hill. Coverage will follow where ever the action is. If you have
no clue what I'm talking about then check out these five-star internet locals
for more information:

FAQs are available by anonymous FTP from rtfm.mit.edu as
pub/usenet/news.answers/games/corewar-faq.Z
FTP site is: ftp.csua.berkeley.edu /pub/corewar

Greetings.

The pizza hills are back and so are we. Sorry for the short vacation, but
there just wasn't much to report on in the last few weeks. The new 'test'
option is seeing heavy use. There are disagreements whether tests results
should be included in the standard output reporting option. Personally, I
would like the option of not receiving test results. Also, the 'testing'
will greatly reduce artificial hill aging (wasn't that the point?), and along
with it--entries into the Hall of Fame. Is there something we should do
about this? Perhaps the most important question about the 'test' option is
whether it is safe or not. Should test warriors be allowed to ;kill a warrior
on the hill?

Twenty-one challenges. Tsunami is new and sits atop the heap. But is Ian
playing fair when he has over three warriors to his name on the '94 draft
hill? Bad boy. Ross Morgan-Linial is trying out some super-imp program on
the draft hill, but it has yet to claim a solid rank. He is well represented
on the b-hill with 7 warriors.

The Hint

Sorry no hint this issue. I probably won't have any hints until I start
actively playing again. Maybe when I get my class schedule under control . .
