The WilFiz Benchmark

The idea behind the WilFiz benchmark was essentially to give corewar newbies a group of the most modern warriors that represent the actual strength of the hills. It will give you a reasonable picture of the "overall" performance of a warrior. I hope it helps new players get an idea of what a "good" warrior must be able to do. This is also the best way to detect flaws in the code or shortcomings in the strategy. As a rough estimation your warrior should score about 60 Pts to enter the beginner hill and about 130 Pts to enter the 94nop hill (using the Wilkies scoring system).

I have cranked out the results of several warriors using the Wilkies, WilMoo and WilFiz benchmark!!!

The papers

Reepicheep
This is at the moment the state-of-art stone/paper. It beats most of the scanners. Exceptions are some oneshots.

nPaper II
A very tough paper which kills nicely a-imps.

Revenge of the Papers
A kind of coreclear paper. It boots away two copies before it launch them. Good against b-imps.

Return of the Fugitive
A very defensive paper which generates lots of imps.

The stones

Son of Vain
A stone/imp containing a separate d-clear. Extremely hard to beat.

Uninvited
A stone with delayed imps. Works good against scanner but has some weakness against papers.

Behemot
A very agressive stun bomber.

Vanquisher II
A suicidal stone with two independant d-clears.

The scanners

Hazy Lazy
A good allround scanner with some resistance against stone/imps but weak against paper/imps.

Silver Talon 1.2
Also a good allrounder.

CrazyShot 2
A bishot-style oneshot which works especially good against stone/papers.

Willow
A HSA-ish scanner which can beat also paper/imps.
